Remember, you'll be working with the Voice Assisted Manikin when doing your skills session and there will be no instructor present.  We also have tips to help guide you and you can always call us if you have questions at 888-277-3143. Don't worry, you can take the tests as many times as needed until you pass.

You must complete the online portion before going in for the skills. The online portion is adaptive (meaning the more answers you get right, the shorter the test will take). Remember, you have to finish Part 1 before visiting our office!

Hand placement, locking your elbows, and using the stepstool in the classroom will help you get proper depth. Make sure that you allow the chest to fully recoil. If you still are having problems, you can remove the grey pad beneath the manikin to compress deeper.

Always count out loud when doing your compressions, this will help you stay on track during the 2 rescuer scenario.

The head tilt and chin lift can be a little tricky. Make sure the mask covers the entire nose and mouth and use the "C-E" grip. Place the middle, ring, and little fingers (the "E") under the jaw and pull it upward, while the thumb and index fingers create a "C" and press down against the mask. Be sure to tilt the head back to open the airway. If the breaths are not going in, try tilting the head back further. 

When switching roles, make sure you transition quickly! Anticipate when you'll need to switch and move fast.
